Mansfield Lodge No. 36 History

Mansfield Lodge History:

Instituted in 1814. Mansfield Lodge No. 36 was warranted on November 8, 1814 as Mansfield Lodge No. 31.

The Lodge was closed by vote of the membership on January 17, 1829. On November 10, 1840, the Grand Lodge resolved to restore Mansfield No. 31. However, meetings did not resume until March 1, 1855 and the Lodge was considered officially resuscitated on January 9, 1856. The Lodge operated as a moon lodge until 1864.
